［企画展］建築のなかの文学、文学のなかの建築

“Literature in Architecture, Architecture in Literature”

We were in charge of the key visual and graphics of the exhibition.
The exterior “arch” is “architecture”, and the “paper” is “literature”,
which is a graphic that evokes the two words that is the theme of this exhibition.

 

早稲田大学国際文学館（村上春樹ライブラリー）で開催中の
企画展のメインビジュアル・展示のグラフィックを担当。
建築家・隈研吾氏によるリノベーションを経て、

国際文学館として大きく様変わりした旧4号館。
その過程にみられる、数々の製作者たちの作業の痕／存在を観ることができる展示。
象徴的な外観の木のアーチに着目し、紙を束ねたものを湾曲させ、

グラフィックに落とし込んで展開。
外観の「アーチ」は「建築」に、紙を束ねた「本」は「文学」へと、
今回のテーマである2つの言葉を想起させるグラフィックに。

Art Direction / Design：渡辺和音（There There）

やさしいレイヤーカット実践ガイド

Written by Manabu Takahashi, the stylist of the hair salon PEEK-A-BOO.
While using yellow as the key color, the design was developed typographically.
The design was composed using a thin typeface with a thin weight,
aiming to create a sense of “lightness” and “looseness” that
can be expressed through the layered cuts.

 

高橋 学さん［PEEK-A-BOO］著書

「やさしいレイヤーカット実践ガイド」のデザインを担当。

イエローをキーカラーに、タイポグラフィで展開。

ウエイトの細い書体をつかった構成で

レイヤーカットを通して表現できる「抜け感」「軽やかさ」などを感じられるように。
