光村図書　高等学校教科書　美術1

We’re in charge of the art direction and design for Art 1, a high school art textbook published by Mitsumura Tosho.

With the goal of not only making the content easy to understand but also sparking students’ interest in the joy of art, we aimed to create a textbook that would be enjoyable to flip through.
For the cover, instead of placing the artwork across the entire page, we separated the artwork from the text area to achieve a clean, uncluttered look.
The textbook will be introduced starting in the 2026 school year.

 

光村図書　高等学校教科書　美術1のアートディレクション＆デザインを担当。

分かりやすさと共に学生たちに美術の楽しさを知ってもらうきっかけになれればというところから、めくっていて楽しい教科書を目指した。
表紙は作品を全面にするのではなく、作品と文字スペースをわけてすっきり見えるように。
美術1は令和8年度より、美術2は令和9年より使用開始。

暮らしの思想

Visual identity for “Kurashi no Shiso,” a shop newly opened in Nishi-Ogu, Arakawa-ku.
The store features a uniquely curated selection of books and flowers that brighten everyday life.
Conceived as a space to inspire reflection on personal lifestyles, the identity avoids a traditional symbol mark. Instead, it relies entirely on flat typography, capturing the quiet passage of time and daily routines through subtle shifts in the letterforms.

 

荒川区西尾久にオープンした「暮らしの思想」のVIを担当。
「暮らしの思想」は独自のカテゴリでセレクトされた本と、日常を彩るお花に出会えるお店。
暮らしを考えるきっかけの場として、特別なシンボルマークを作成するのではなく、ロゴはあくまでもフラットなテキストのみで展開し、何気なく過ぎる日々や時間の経過を文字の表情の変化で表現した。
