TRANSIT Travel Guide

A guidebook launched from the travel culture magazine TRANSIT. Responsible for art direction and design. The majority of this book is dedicated to spot information pages, establishing a foundational grid for layout. While maintaining the atmosphere of the magazine TRANSIT, the goal was to present the information in an organized manner.

 

トラベルカルチャー雑誌 TRANSITから創刊されたガイドブック。アートディレクション・デザインを担当。

本書の大半を占めるスポット情報ページは基準となるグリッド線を定め展開。
雑誌TRANSITの雰囲気を持ちながら、情報が整理された見え方を目指した。

城崎ユノマトペ

A publishing label from Kinosaki Onsen, “Books and Onsen”.

Each of these issues are special books that are only available in Kinosaki.
Issue No.4 is a picture book, work by tupera tupera.

Walk through the elegant hot spring town of Kinosaki

as your geta (wooden clogs) pleasantly clatter against the pavement.
Open the geta-shaped cover to reveal a bellows-style construction

of a cutout picture scroll. The design is not only a realistic depiction of a geta,

but a representation of tupera tupera’s worldview.

 

城崎温泉の出版レーベル『本と温泉』。
毎冊城崎でしか手に入らない特別な本となっている。第４弾となるtuperatuperaによる絵本の装丁を担当。
城崎の風情ある温泉街を下駄でカランコロンと歩く。下駄型の表紙を開くとジャバラの切り絵絵巻が広がる。
リアルの下駄を追求するだけではなく、tuperatuperaの世界観に沿うデザインに。
