There There

Written by a hairstylist Hideki Yoshifuji, based in Niigata Prefecture.
The paper is textured cardboard, and the binding is “Codex ”
with the thread exposed at the spine.
We aimed to create a book that would convey Mr. Yoshifuji’s stoicism as a hairstylist.
*Only the first edition is Codex bookbinding.

新潟を拠点に活動される由藤秀樹さん［SNIPS］著書「職業美容師」のデザインを担当。

東京とは異なる、地域独特の空気感・ライフスタイルを感じられるよう写真を大きくゆったりと組んだ構成に。

風合いのあるボール紙、背の糸綴が剥き出しになる「コデックス装」を選び

由藤さんの職人としてのストイックさ、技術に対する着飾らない直向さを感じられるように。

※「コデックス装」は初回限定のみ。従来の書籍よりも180度開き読みやすい装丁

W COFFEE is a cafe&workspace opened in Kitaotsuka on November 30, 2021.
“W” contains 3 meanings: Work, With, Wellness.

We are in charge of the logo and the signs.
“W” icon of the logo has various nuances as its meanings, the active and effortless style signifies the cozy café and the round geometric shape signifies the organized and productive workspace. 　

2021年11月30日に北大塚にオープンした
カフェ＆ワーキングスペース「W COFFEE」の
ロゴ・サインなどを担当。

3つの思いが込められた「W」を
さまざまな表情みえるようアイコン化。
円の幾何学的な形状をベースにすることで整頓された作業しやすい場を、
動きと抜け感をプラスすることで
カフェとしての居心地のよさを感じられるように。
