There There

We were responsible for the art direction and design of the 5th-anniversary booklet for SHIBUYA QWS, located in Shibuya Scramble Square. Since QWS is a space centered around “questioning,” the booklet was created with the theme of “questions” throughout. It features French binding with the cover and back cover folding inward, giving it a book-like presence. The cover is made with aluminum vapor deposition and a matte varnish finish, simply expressing QWS’s essence through a speech bubble and title as symbols of “questioning.”

渋谷スクランブルスクエア内にあるSHIBUYA QWSの5周年記念冊子のアートディレクション＆デザインを担当。

QWSは「問いを立てる」をテーマとしているスペースなので、全体を通し「問い」をテーマにして制作。

表紙と裏表紙を内側に折り返すフランス製本を採用し、通常の冊子よりも書籍のような佇まいを目指した。

カバーは、マットニス加工を加えたアルミ蒸着の上に、QWSの「問い」の象徴としての吹き出しとタイトルのみでシンプルな表現に。

A guidebook launched from the travel culture magazine TRANSIT. Responsible for art direction and design. The majority of this book is dedicated to spot information pages, establishing a foundational grid for layout. While maintaining the atmosphere of the magazine TRANSIT, the goal was to present the information in an organized manner.

トラベルカルチャー雑誌 TRANSITから創刊されたガイドブック。アートディレクション・デザインを担当。

本書の大半を占めるスポット情報ページは基準となるグリッド線を定め展開。
雑誌TRANSITの雰囲気を持ちながら、情報が整理された見え方を目指した。
